Description
Omega 3 fatty acids in cod liver oil increase the cell membrane content of both EPA and DHA which increase the production of the anti-inflammatory group icosanoid. Omega 3 fatty acids decrease the production of interleukin-1 and tumor necrosis factor by down-regulating inflammatory response. Omega 3 fatty acids in Cod liver oil exert effects on atherogenesis and thrombus formation.
